Undergraduate Enrollment Counselor

Where are you from? Colombia.

What are some of your hobbies? Watching movies, coloring, doing outreach and anything nature-like.

What advice do you have for prospective students? Use all the resources you have and never stop asking questions.

What is your favorite spot on campus? Sitting outside on the picnic benches facing the lake.

What is your best admission memory? I was speaking to a prospect over the phone and the prospect wasn’t sure about attending. I answered all the questions they had and told them my personal experience as a student at the time. We spoke about half an hour and at the end of the conversation the prospect felt that the school was a place they would like to be part of. I felt so happy being able to help a prospect and connecting with them.

What is your best college memory? Being involved with Campus Ministries, I volunteered to make pancakes for students during finals week. One trimester while I was making pancakes, a student was serving themselves pancakes they expressed how much this meant for them because it gave them peace to know that they don’t have to worry about breakfast for the week. That really made my day, and it made me appreciate that I get to make my college memories at a University where I am able to get involved.
