Dr. Fowler has 28 years of experience as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and has been teaching clinically for over 8 years. He joined the ADU Nurse Anesthesia Department as a full-time faculty member in 2015, with the responsibilities of classroom teaching, simulation training, and clinical precepting. He received his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Wilkes University in 2013, Master of Science (MS) in Nurse Anesthesia from Mercy College of Detroit in 1990, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Florida (Gainesville) in 1988. His area of focus is cardiovascular anesthesia. Dr. Fowler helped develop a new cardiovascular program in Hazard, KY in 2010. He received the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists senior research paper award in 1991. Dr. Fowler is published in the Journal of Nursing Research and Practice, 2018. Dr. Fowler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our nurse anesthesia program.
