Admission Requirements

AHU Online makes it easy to get started on your MHA degree. Whether you are applying with an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree, no GRE or GMAT scores are required. If you are working within the healthcare field, we invite you to apply today.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for the online MHA-SI vary slightly based on whether you are entering the program with a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree.

Both types of degree-holders need the following to apply:

  • Degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Application and fee
  • Resume
  • Essay/goal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation. Preference is for one academic and one professional referral.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

If you currently have an associate degree, you need to be employed in the healthcare field and hold a professional licensure or certificate in a health-related field.

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits are not done automatically for graduate-level courses. If you feel you have completed a course that is equivalent, you will be required to submit a course syllabus for each course. Courses to be considered must be taken within the previous 5 years from a regionally accredited institution, and you must have earned a “B” or better in the course.
All requests must be approved by the respective department chair. An Admissions Coordinator can answer any additional questions you have about transferring credits.
