Description:

This course provides an in-depth scientific exploration of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), focusing on its biological mechanisms, pathogenesis, and the current advancements in HIV research and treatment. Students will examine the molecular biology of the virus, its impact on the immune system, and the mechanisms of HIV transmission and progression to AIDS. Topics also include the development of antiretroviral therapies, strategies for prevention, and emerging research on vaccine development and cure efforts.
