| Description: | This course will provide students with a basic understanding of the impact of environmental factors, the health of people, and the community. Topics will include the reaction of the body to environmental pollutants; physical, chemical, and biological agents of environmental contamination; vectors for dissemination; solid and hazardous waste; susceptible populations; biomarkers and risk analysis; the scientific basis for policy decisions; and emerging global environmental health problems. |
| Notes: | Must be accepted to either the BS in Health Sciences or the BS in Biomedical Sciences program. All prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of "C" (2.00). |
