Description:

This course focuses on the application of the nursing process in the provision of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and strengthening the patient/client neuropsychological lines of defense and resistance to environmental stressors. The student will provide care for the patient/client experiencing designated stressors affecting the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, developmental, and spiritual variables across the life span. The student will learn to provide safe nursing care based on evidence that promotes competent care within the acute care and community environments.
