Description:

This course will provide a review of normal anatomy and an in depth exploration of pathological conditions of the heart utilizing various ultrasound techniques, such as 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and transesophageal echocardiography. Cardiac pathology and disease processes that alter cardiac performance and its impact on other organ systems will also be analyzed. Correlation of other diagnostic testing used in conjunction with cardiac ultrasound will also be reviewed.

All Sonography prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of "C+" (2.30).
