Description:

This course presents an overview of sonographic evaluation of pregnancy. A review of embryologic development from embryo to fetus will be correlated with sonographic milestones. A detailed exploration of pathology and maternal diseases related to pregnancy the impact on the fetus will be explored. Students will analyze fetal abnormalities identified in each anatomical systems and any associated findings including those associated with syndromes and chromosomal anomalies. Placental aberrations and the effects on the pregnancy will also be evaluated. Accessory testing will be reviewed, including various screening and diagnostic tests offered to the obstetrical patient

All Sonography prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of "C+" (2.30).
