Jill Mason, EdD, DNAP, MSN, CRNA, APRN, COI,FAANA, was born in Peoria, Illinois. She lived there until middle school and then moved overseas to Sao Paulo, Brazil. She graduated from middle school and high school in Brazil and came back to join the U.S. Air Force and then Illinois Air National Guard as a medic and allergy/immunology technician stationed at Andrews AFB in MD. She received her BSN at the University of Illinois at Chicago, her Nurse Anesthesia Degree at Northwestern University and MSN at DePaul University, Chicago, Il.
She has practiced for over 23 years in South Carolina where she was the Nurse Anesthesia Educator for two Level I Trauma Centers. She earned her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) at Texas Wesleyan University in 2015, became a Certified Online Instructor and taught at Texas Wesleyan for 5 years in the Doctorate Completion Program. She earned her Doctor of Education (Ed. D) at Nebraska Methodist College in May 2022. She has published many articles and an e-Book on Anesthesia Health Care Policy and was inducted as a Fellow to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology in 2023.
