Dr. Jozie Gold serves as the Assistant Dean of Nursing and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing.
She joined AHU in 2023 and is committed to advancing student success, academic excellence, and a culture of service while supporting the University's mission of developing skilled professionals who live the healing values of Christ.Dr. Gold earned her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Lincoln Memorial University, her RN-to-BSN degree and Master of Science in Nursing degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nursing Education from Capella University.
In her leadership role, Dr. Gold collaborates with faculty and staff to foster student-centered learning, continuous quality improvement, and exceptional service for students, colleagues, and community partners. She serves on multiple Department of Nursing committees and is actively engaged in professional service through the Southern Nursing Research Society.
Dr. Gold's research focuses on emotional intelligence and critical thinking among prelicensure nursing students and their relationship to academic performance. Her clinical background includes adolescent mental health, medical-surgical acute care, and cardiovascular intensive care, experiences that continue to inform her teaching, leadership, and commitment to preparing compassionate, practice-ready nurses.
