Kemetra King, DNP, APRN, CNM, MSN-ED

Kemetra King, DNP, APRN, CNM, MSN-ED, is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and nurse educator with 17 years of nursing experience, 12 years in nursing education, and 7 years of practice as a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Loewenberg School of Nursing at the University of Memphis in 2009 and her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education in 2016. She completed her Nurse-Midwifery education at Frontier Nursing University in 2019 and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier in 2025.

Dr. King’s clinical expertise includes labor and delivery, full-scope midwifery care in the home, hospital and birth center settings, gynecologic care, menopause management, reproductive healthcare, reproductive justice, and transgender-inclusive care. Her scholarly interests include maternal and reproductive health, reproductive justice, menopause management, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Her doctoral quality improvement project focused on improving intimate partner violence (IPV) screening practices and was recognized with Frontier Nursing University’s Exemplary Project of the Year Award.

Dr. King currently serves as Nurse-Midwifery Faculty at AdventHealth University, where she is dedicated to advancing nursing and midwifery education through mentorship, clinical excellence, critical thinking, and student success.
