Biography

Dr. Marlon Robinson is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Approved Supervisor, and a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Master of Divinity from Northern Caribbean University and Andrews University, respectively. He received both a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio. He has been published in The Family Journal, Journal of Applied Christian Leadership, Family Therapy Magazine, and Ministry, International Journal for Pastors. His most recent paper was the lead article for Ministry, International Journal for Pastors, and it was entitled “The Pastor’s Mental Health and the COVID-19 Pandemic.” He is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Marriage and Family Review and the Journal of Relational-Emotive and Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. He has received several awards and recognitions including the 2017 Doctoral Student Achievement Award from the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Robinson is an inductee of both Sigma Alpha Pi and Delta Kappa.
