About Ramy Mahrous, MD, MLS, ECFMG

Dr. Ramy Mahrous is a medical professional with a diverse background spanning clinical medicine, research, diagnostics, and education. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and began his career in medical research as a Research Associate at the CAMC Research Institute within the Vascular Surgery Department, where he contributed to innovative studies and achieved his first peer reviewed publication in 2014. He further expanded his clinical experience through visiting physician roles at renowned institutions, including the Cleveland Clinic and The University of Toledo. Dr. Mahrous later specialized in electroencephalography, serving as an EEG Specialist at the Orlando Epilepsy Center, where he supported the diagnosis and management of complex neurological conditions.
In 2018, Dr. Mahrous transitioned into Clinical Laboratory Science and joined AdventHealth Orlando in the Microbiology Department, where he continues to practice with a strong emphasis on diagnostic accuracy, quality, and patient safety. In parallel, he has developed a passion for education and mentorship, teaching Medical Laboratory Sciences at Keiser University and providing comprehensive board certification review instruction. As a faculty member in the MLS Program, Dr. Mahrous is dedicated to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that prepares students for professional excellence, lifelong learning, and meaningful contributions to the healthcare community.
