Rose E. Serrano-Torres, MPH, MT(ASCP) is a bilingual medical technologist, epidemiologist, and educator based in Orlando, Florida, with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of laboratory science and public health. With a Master of Public Health from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, she blends scientific precision with population level strategy.
Rose has led and supported clinical laboratory operations across major healthcare systems including Orlando Health and AdventHealth, serving in roles ranging from Hematology Specialist to Clinical Laboratory Manager and Infection Preventionist. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as an Epidemiologist with the Department of Health Puerto Rico, overseeing contact tracing, outbreak response, and community level data reporting in Culebra, PR.
Certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and trained in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt methodologies, Rose is recognized for her strength in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, team leadership and instructional experience.
In every role, she operates where microscopes meet mission, turning data into direction and science into service.
