Stefanie Johnson teaches English Review, English Composition I and II, and directs the University Writing Center. She earned her M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Central Florida and has served at AHU, both in grant writing and teaching, since 2007. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Composition and Applied Linguistics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include professional identity formation, genre theory, health care discourse, and writing center theory and practice. She has co-authored a chapter in the 6th edition of Leadership and Nursing Care Management and presented at a range of conferences, including the national Conference on College Composition and Communication. Stefanie believes that language is power, and she is passionate about teaching her students to examine compositions carefully and to communicate with compassion.
