Verónica de los Ángeles Hernández Morales, DrPH, MPH, CLS is a public health epidemiologist and clinical laboratory scientist with extensive experience in academia, state health departments, and clinical laboratories. She currently serves as adjunct faculty in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Public Health, teaching clinical chemistry, bacteriology, epidemiology, research methods, and biostatistics in both in person and online formats.
Her professional expertise includes infectious and chronic disease surveillance, health disparities, and advanced data analytics, with contributions to CDC and NIH funded initiatives, including the Jackson Heart Study. Dr. Hernández Morales’ research interests focus on diabetes risk prediction, health equity, and the application of artificial intelligence in public health and laboratory science. She is an award winning educator and an active contributor to national and international scholarly forums.
