Community and Student Engagement

Giving Back and Serving the Community

Live out your passion to help others while enhancing your education. You’ll get the chance to take the knowledge and skills you’ve learned in the classroom and put them to use in the community. With service incorporated directly into your classes or programs, you’ll have the opportunity to work in local health clinics providing free care to those in need, to teach healthy habits to local children, and more. This unique opportunity will not only deepen your knowledge, but will allow you to make a difference in the lives of others. Those you serve today are your patients tomorrow. Service-learning and volunteerism opens the door for students to have a greater understanding of whole-person care. Additionally, student engagement connects students to the University through club activities, student town halls and forums, and timely student communication.
