Biography

Dr. Fore has been a nursing faculty at AHU since 2001. Her degrees include BSN – University of Kentucky College of Nursing, MSN – University of Kentucky College of Nursing (Education Track and Clinical Specialty – Pediatric Nursing), and PhD – Oklahoma State University – Child Development Specialty. Currently, she teaches Introduction to Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice and the Professional Issues in Nursing courses for the BSN Program. She also teaches RSCH 512 Research and Evidence-Based Practice for the MSN Program. She serves on a variety of committees in the Department of Nursing, as well as the University, including the SRC, Faculty Rank and Promotion, and the Grants and Endowment Committees. Her research interests include children’s friendships related to their developmental outcomes, and children’s pain issues. She is a pediatric nurse and worked the Pediatric Intensive Care, as well as the Pediatric call-center. Dr. Fore was a founder of an inner-city clinic that served families and children who had difficulty accessing the health care system. She continues to support inner-city missions for these population health groups. She is a manuscript reviewer for The Journal of Pediatric Nursing and has a variety of peer reviewed nursing publications including a chapter in a nursing assessment book, journals, and monographs.
