Biography

Dr. Fan is an Associate Professor in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from National Cheng Kung University; a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from National Taiwan University and received her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from University of Illinois Chicago. She has worked with mental health population in hospital and community settings and also served as a school-based occupational therapist. Here at AdventHealth University, Dr. Fan teaches Occupational Therapy Models of Practice, Evidence-Based Practice, Research Design, Analysis of Occupational Performance, Data Compilation and Research Dissemination. Her scholarly interests include measurement development and psychometric examination, theoretical implications, quality of life (QoL) and health promotion, intraprofessional collaboration and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). She currently serves on the editorial board for two peer-reviewed journals: Frontiers in Psychiatry and Asian Journal of Social Health and Behavior. She is also an ad-hoc reviewer for multiple journals in the fields of occupational therapy, health science and rehabilitation.
