Biography

Dr. Fan is an Associate Professor in the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from National Cheng Kung University, a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from National Taiwan University, and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago. She has practiced with mental health populations across hospital and community settings and has also served as a school-based occupational therapist. At AdventHealth University, Dr. Fan teaches Occupational Therapy Models of Practice, Evidence-Based Practice, Research Design, Analysis of Occupational Performance, Data Compilation, Data Analysis, Research Dissemination, and Portfolio Completion.

Her scholarly interests include measurement development and psychometric examination, theory-driven practice, mobile health (mHealth) interventions, intraprofessional collaboration, and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). She serves on the editorial boards of the Asian Journal of Social Health and Behavior and is an ad hoc reviewer for journals in occupational therapy, health sciences, and rehabilitation.
