Biography

Professor Julie Hill recently joined the nursing faculty at AdventHealth University. She previously served as the program manager for the ED Nurse Internship Program (EDNIP) for AdventHealth, leading out in educating more than 500 new emergency nurses to the AdventHealth Emergency Departments in Central Florida. She earned her AS at Pacific Union College in, Angwin, California and is a proud alumna of AdventHealth University as she completed her BSN in via their online program while working as a nurse in her hometown of Tillamook, Oregon. Professor Hill followed her passion for learning and teaching by completing her MSN-education, MSN-Healthcare Administration, and MBA at Southern Adventist University. As she completed these degrees, she also began her full-time nursing education career as a nursing faculty for Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon. Southern Adventist University continues to guide Professor Hill's knowledge development as she is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) through this university with an anticipated graduation date in 2025. She hopes to inspire her students to be life-long learners and encourage them to be consistently curious about searching out the best ways to grow and achieve their dreams.

Currently, she teaches Health Promotion and Community for the AdventHealth BSN Program. She serves on various committees in the Department of Nursing and is actively involved in her church. Her research interests include leadership, technology in education, civility, and how to infuse kindness through every interaction of whole-person care.
