Dr. Karen Austin received her undergraduate degree from Southern College of SDA (now called Southern Adventist University). She later received her master’s degree from Loma Linda University in 1993 and received her Doctor of Arts degree from Idaho State University in 2005. Here at AdventHealth University, Dr. Austin teaches Anatomy and Physiology I lecture and lab, Anatomy and Physiology II lecture and lab, and Concepts of Pathophysiology. She is teaching Anatomy and Physiology dual enrollment classes at Forest Lake academy. She is also teaching Anatomy and Physiology broadcast classes to the Denver campus. In 2010, Dr. Austin was given a Faculty Merit Award At AdventHealth University, for Educator of the Year.
