Biography

Professor Morig has over 15 years of experience in occupational therapy, spanning clinical practice, higher education, and nonprofit leadership. She has worked extensively in pediatrics with advanced training in sensory integration, aquatic therapy, and neurodiversity-inclusive approaches, in both acute care and outpatient settings. She also holds certifications in Kinesio Taping, Handwriting Without Tears, and Aquatic Therapy.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida and is currently a PhD candidate in Occupational Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Her research focuses on the lived experiences of job satisfaction among neurodivergent adults in inclusive work settings.

In higher education, Professor Morig most recently served as Program Director of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Keiser University, where she provided curriculum leadership and accreditation oversight. She has also developed and delivered AOTA-approved continuing education courses and presented nationally and internationally on pediatric and neurodiversity-related topics.

At AdventHealth University, she serves as faculty in the Master of Occupational Therapy program, where her responsibilities include curriculum delivery, student mentorship, and the development of evidence-based, student-centered learning experiences. Specifically, her roles currently include Applied Kinesiology, Community Practice, and assisting with fieldwork.
