AdventHealth recognizes there is a rich tradition of generations of families serving in the health care field. Through your parents, you’ve gained a thoughtful perspective of service in health care and may feel that same calling to serve. The Nursing Pathways Scholarship is specially designed to help you, as dependents of AdventHealth team members, embark on that journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at AdventHealth University Denver.

Dependent children, ages 26 or younger, of full-time or part-time AdventHealth team members within the Rocky Mountain Region who have been accepted into AHU Denver's BSN program.

Scholarship Amount

10 scholarships of up to $22,000 each are available.

Application Timeline

The Nursing Pathways Scholarship application window opens following the close of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program application period for the Fall and Spring trimesters. Please check back after the BSN application deadline for scholarship availability.

Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must be dependent children, ages 26 and younger, of full-time or part-time AdventHealth team members in the Rocky Mountain Region. Parent or legal guardian must have at least one year of continuous service as of the application deadline.

Applicants must be undergraduates accepted into the AHU Bachelor of Science nursing program for the upcoming academic year.

  • Applicants must already be accepted to AHU and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

  • Unweighted 3.0 GPA 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout AHU’s BSN program
  • Composite score of 62.5% on the TEAS
  • Repetition of only one minor course to be eligible for admission into nursing courses, including transfer credits. Must earn a grade of C or better for required courses.

Submitting Your Application

Applicants must submit their scholarship application, including essay, letter of recommendation, high school/college transcripts, and letter of acceptance from AHU Admissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Awards are merit based and awarded to the most qualified applicants. Acceptance into the AdventHealth University BSN program is an eligibility requirement of application. 

Once a completed application is received, it is blinded to demographics, and the AHU Scholarship Coordinator will verify the GPA, references, and validate program acceptance with faculty.

Applicants must be biological children, stepchildren or legally adopted children age 26 or younger and be living with or primarily supported by an AdventHealth team member.

Applicants can be high school seniors, high school graduates or post-secondary undergraduates accepted into the AHU Bachelor of Science nursing program for the upcoming academic year.

The parent or legal guardian of the applicant must be a full-time AdventHealth team member in the Rocky Mountain Region, with one year of continuous service as of the application deadline.

In this competitive program, 10 scholarships of up to $22,000 each are available.

Scholarship recipients will be notified directly via email following the close of the application window. Only those who have been selected will receive formal communication.

The Nursing Pathways Scholarship will cover the cost of the AHU BSN program for tuition and fees up to $22,000. All recipients are required to complete the FAFSA as a condition of acceptance. The financial aid department will assess all aid that has been awarded to each scholar to include government aid and other scholarships awarded. Once assessed, the Nursing Pathways Scholarship will be applied to cover the remaining balance. The amount applied may vary per student and will not exceed $22,000. Expenses outside of program tuition and fees such as books, housing, and meals are not covered by this scholarship and are the responsibility of the student.

Earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. In AHU's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, you’ll learn the essential skills needed for your nursing career and feel prepared and confident to take your National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses.
