About Our Health Science Program

Our Associate of Science in Health Sciences program is designed to prepare you for a bachelor’s degree program and provides the essential general education and foundational science courses you can complete in two years, setting you up for the next step in your education.

A Health Science Degree Gives You Options

With an associate degree in health sciences, you’ll be prepared to pursue a bachelor’s degree. After that, your future is full of options, opening doors to many health sciences jobs and advanced studies.

You could go on to study physical and occupational therapy, developing personalized care plans for patients recovering from illness or injury. You can train hand-in-hand with physicians in a physician assistant program, using physical techniques and mastery of medication management to ensure patients experience the highest quality of life. Or you can pursue a career in healthcare administration, learning to lead teams and manage the systems that support whole-person care.

What you learn in this health science degree program will position you for success in the medical field you choose.

Our Associate of Health Sciences program allows you to choose from two tracks:

  • General Track: Students complete general education courses and continue pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Medical Assistant to Associate of Science Track (MA to AS): Students who have completed their medical assistant training can round out their education by graduating with an associate of science (A.S.) in health sciences.
